Vietnam-RoK traditional embroidery honoured

Forty 40 hand-made embroidery works made by Vietnamese artisans using designs and materials from the Republic of Korea are on display in Hanoi.
Forty 40 hand-made embroidery works made by Vietnamese artisans using designs and materials from the Republic of Korea are on display in Hanoi.

The exhibition, entitled “Charm of the RoK’s embroidery fabric material and thread” aims to honour Vietnamese embroiderers as well as highlight the traditional embroidery of Vietnam and the RoK, Keum Gi Hyung, Director of the RoK Cultural Centre in Vietnam, said at the opening ceremony on Jan. 5.

He said he hoped the exhibition will help Hanoians to better understand the RoK’s embroidery as well as similarities of the two countries’ traditional handicraft.

The exhibition will last till Jan. 15 at the RoK Cultural Centre./.
