The United Russia (UR) Party always attaches importance to its relations with the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the relationship will help promote the two countries’ strategic partnership.

Chairman of the UR Party’s Supreme Council Boris Gryzlov, who is also Duma Speaker, made the affirmation while receiving member of the CPV Central Committee and Head of the CPVCC Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan in Moscow.

He highlighted Vietnam’s development achievements gained under the leadership of the CPV.

Quan, who attended the 12th UR Party Congress on Sept. 23 and 24, handed a congratulatory message from the CPVCC to the congress.

He affirmed the Vietnamese Party and State’s consistent policy of attaching importance to and prioritising the trustful traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and strategic partnership with Russia.

Quan spoke highly of the UR Party’s role in Russia’s political stability, socio-economic development and national comprehensive modernisation.

Both host and guest discussed ways to further promote the relationship between the UR Party and the CPV through the implementation of the cooperation agreement signed between the two Parties in November 2009.

During the congress, the Vietnamese delegation met and discussed with other delegations to boost their relationship in the future./.
