Vietnam finished second after losing to China’s Jiangsu team (25-21, 25-16, 25-20, 25-19) in the final match of the International Women’s Volleyball Tournament (VTV Cup) late last week in the northern province of Ninh Binh.
In the third place layoff match, Shandong defeated Kazakhstan 3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-17).
Jiangsu walked away with a 10,000 USD cash prize, while the runners up received 7,000 UD and 5,000 USD.
The event’s organising board presented the best player award to Vietnamese star Pham Thi Ngoc Hoa. This year’s eight day event attracted six teams.-VNA
