Vietnam bagged 18 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze medals at the Southeast Asian Student games which ended on July 27 in Suphanburi, Thailand.

The team competed in swimming, athletics, gymnastics, tennis and basketball during six days of competition covering 10 sports.

The hosts topped the medal count with 72 golds, 42 silvers and 40 bronzes. Vietnam was next ahead of Indonesia with 13 gold, 33 silver and 29 bronze medals./.
