Vietnam won 14 gold medals at international and regional Olympiads in 2017. This is the highest achievement it has obtained to date at the competitions for high school students.
The Ministry of Education and Training has commended and presented its certificates of merit to all four Vietnamese students who won medals at the 46th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO).
The 27th International Biology Olympiad (IBO) will take place for the first time in Vietnam from July 17-24 next year with the participation of over 1,000 candidates from 70 countries and territories.

In 2017, the Vietnamese national delegations to the International Chemistry Olympiad, the International Mathematics Olympiad and the International Physics Olympiad, recorded the highest-ever results.
