Vietnam is willing to share experience and promote multifaceted cooperation with Mongolia, Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh said in Hanoi on January 7.

Receiving visiting Secretary General of the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party, Ukhnaa Khurelsukh, Vietnamese Party chief reiterated that Vietnam attaches importance to developing ties with traditional friends, including Mongolia .

The two leaders agreed that both Parties should uphold traditional friendship and cooperation, striving towards benefits for both nations, including peace, national independence, democracy and social advancement in the region as well as in the world.

The Vietnamese Party leader congratulated the Mongolian ruling Party on its achievements made in national construction.

He also expressed his gratitude for the Mongolia People’s Revolutionary Party and people for their solidarity and support to Vietnam’s national liberation in the past and its present renewal process.

Secretary General of the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party U. Khurelsukh spoke highly of Vietnam’s achievements during its 25-year renewal process.

He affirmed that Mongolia always respects traditional friendship and all-round cooperation with Vietnam, and considers Vietnam as an important and reliable partner in Southeast Asia.

Mongolia will do its utmost to consolidate and further develop relations and cooperation between the two countries, he said.

Earlier, a Vietnamese Party delegation held talks with the Mongolian Party delegation discussing measures to make bilateral friendship and cooperation more effective and practical.

During their visit to Vietnam starting Jan. 6, the Mongolian delegation had working sessions with Pham Quang Nghi, Hanoi’s municipal Party committee secretary; Luong Van Cu, Chairman of the Vietnam-Mongolia Friendship Association and leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as well as the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group to discuss bilateral cooperation./.
