A photo exhibition and a film week featuring Vietnam’s land, people and culture are going on in Kharkov city, Ukraine on the occasion of Vietnam’s 68 th National Day and the 21 st anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Ukraine .
Under the theme of “ Vietnam – a World’s Rendezvous”, more than 200 selective photos are on show and 100 special documentaries will be screened during the week-long event, which began on August 30. The works spotlight the political system of Vietnam, the country during the process of integration and development as well as its cultural heritage, trade villages, festivals and cuisine.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Information and Telecommunications Nguyen Bac Son said the event first of all reflects the Party and State’s care to the Vietnamese community in Ukraine by bringing them a spiritual gift from the homeland.
It also conveys a message on a beautiful Vietnam, which is rich in cultural tradition and wants to build solidarity, friendship, trusted partnership and cooperation with other nations around the world, said Son.
A representative of the Governor of Kharkov province said that the exhibition gives him an insight of Vietnam’s land and people, which made him want to visit the country as soon as possible to promote the relationship between the two countries and their localities.-VNA
