Vietnam dropped six places in the International Football Federation's June rankings and now languish in 140th place.

It represents Vietnam's lowest world placing since 2008.

However, the team remains confident their rating will improve next month after the 6-0 victory against Macau in the 2014 World Cup qualifying round.

In Southeast Asia, Vietnam remains in third place as other countries in the region have also dropped in the global rankings.

Thailand ais the top team in Southeast Asia, and lis 123rd in the world after dropping three places. Indonesia are second in the region, after slipping two spots. Meanwhile, Singapore and Malaysiainfourth and fifth, respectively.
