Vietnam, Slovakia bolster friendship

The Vietnam-Slovakia Friendship Association (VSFA) has convened its second national congress for the 2011-2015 term.
The Vietnam-Slovakia Friendship Association (VSFA) has convened its second national congress for the 2011-2015 term.

Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) Tran Dac Loi, Slovakian Ambassador to Vietnam Peter Svitvek and representatives from relevant ministries and agencies attended the event on March 12.

Addressing the congress, VUFO Vice President Tran Dac Loi applauded the achievements and efforts VSFA and its member organisations have recorded over the past time.

He expressed his hope that the organisation would proactively seek new partners and friends as well as boost the exchange of culture, economics and education.

The congress elected a new 25-member executive board with Doan Duy Khuong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as the chair.

During the 2005-2010 term, VSFA had organised numerous activities including seminars on economic cooperation, contributing to bolstering traditional friendship between the two countries’ people./.
