Vietnam supports education in Laos

The Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training on April 8 handed over the facilities it built as a gift for the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies of the National University of Laos.
The Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training on April 8 handed overthe facilities it built as a gift for the Faculty of Vietnamese Studiesof the National University of Laos.

Thefacilities, built at a total investment of 40 billion VND (1.9 millionUSD ), consisting of 1,538 sq.m of classrooms, a 1,692 sq.m. libraryequipped with teaching and learning tools, serving some 200 students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnam’s DeputyMinister of Education and Training Pham Manh Hung said he hopes thefaculty will train many excellent students who will contribute to theVietnam-Laos special relationship.

On behalf of theLao Ministry of Education and Sports, Deputy Minister Kongsi Sengmanyhighly appreciated the support of the Vietnamese Party, State,Government and Ministry of Education and Training for Laos ’education sector in the last decades.

He said theinauguration of the faculty is a vivid evidence of the comprehensiveeducation cooperation between the two countries.-VNA

Legal awareness contest for Vietnamese community in Japan launched

According to the organisers, the contest is bilingual (Vietnamese and Japanese), held online, and consists of 34 questions.
