Vietnam Television (VTV) inaugurated its bureau in Washington DC on August 14, which is the fourth of its kind overseas.

Vietnamese Ambassador Le Cong Phung said that the national television broadcaster’s bureau in the US together with those set up by the Vietnam News Agency and Radio the Voice of Vietnam will not only help Americans get more accurate information about Vietnam, but also promote mutual understanding between the two nations so as to improve bilateral relations.

Currently, VTV has seven public and nearly 20 paid channels. Its VTV4 channel, which is designed for Vietnamese nationals residing abroad, can be seen on almost every continent./.
