– The Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) and the Argentina-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group need to promote experience sharing in holding elections, NA organisation and training for parliamentarians.

Deputy head of the NA’s Board for NA deputies affairs Nguyen Tuan Anh, who led a Vietnamese NA delegation to visit Argentina from September 16-20, made the statement at a working session with members of the Argentina-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group.

Anh expressed his hope that through parliamentary cooperation, the two law-making bodies will promote economic and trade relations, education collaboration and cultural exchange between the two countries.

He took the occasion to invite Argentinian parliamentarians to visit Vietnam.

Chairwoman of the friendship parliamentarians’ group Elva Susana Balbo detailed the organisation and operation of Argentina’s legislative body, the activities of local elected bodies and policies for parliamentarians.

She lauded Vietnam’s achievements in recent years and expressed her wish to tighten cooperation with the Southeast Asian country.

The Vietnamese delegation also had a working session with Vice President of the Justice Commission of Buenos Aires City Legislature Daniel Presti.

On September 20, the delegation visited Paraguay to exchange experience with its legislative bodies.-VNA
