Vietnam to host Asian Choir Olympic

The Asian Choir Olympic 2010 is to take place in Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa provinces from August 28-September 4, likely to draw 5,000 contestants from 40 countries and territories.

Singers of all walks of life and various age groups will showcase talents in a large range of music genres, from pop to jazz, folk songs and hymns.

The event, sponsored by the Interkultur Group of Germany , is one of serial events in the “National Tourist Year on Southern Central Coast-Phu Yen 2010”, said the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The ministry also said it has conducted surveys on infrastructure and tourism services throughout the central coastal region before licensing Tuy Hoa city in Phu Yen province and Nha Trang city in Khanh Hoa province to host the event./.
