Vietnam to host Group J of AFC U19 event

(Photo: vff.org.vn)Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam will host Group J of the qualifiers for 2018 AFC U19 Championship from November 4-8 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre in Hanoi, the Vietnam Football Federation has announced.
Group J consists of Australia, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Northern Mariana Islands and China’s Hong Kong.
Vietnam are in Group H alongside Macau, Laos and Chinese Taipei, with fixtures to be played in Chinese Taipei.
A total of 43 teams from across Asia will participate in the qualifiers, with 10 group winners and the five strongest group runner-up teams advancing to the finals along with the hosts, Indonesia.
The event’s qualifying stage is scheduled to take place from October 31 to November 8.
Vietnam will meet Macau on November 4, Chinese Taipei on November 6 and Laos two days later.
The Vietnamese squad will leave for Chinese Taipei on November 2. - VNA
