Vietnam to host human trafficking meeting
Vietnam will host the eighth Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM-8) and
the third Inter-Ministerial Meeting (IMM-3) on anti-human trafficking of
the Mekong sub-regional countries.

the third Inter-Ministerial Meeting (IMM-3) on anti-human trafficking of
the Mekong sub-regional countries.
SOM-8 will be held on Feb. 14-15 while IMM-3 will take place on Feb.16.
At the SOM-8, delegates will review and evaluate the Mekong sub-region’s cooperation on human trafficking prevention in the 2008-2010 period and discuss plans for the 2010-2012 term, as well as select priority activities for 2012.
The meeting will also discuss issues of strengthening dialogue with other forums and evaluating the results of the Youth Forum of member countries on human trafficking prevention.
IMM-3 participants will discuss, approve and sign a joint statement on anti-human trafficking./.
