Hanoi (VNA) – As many as 200 foreign delegates – including heads of the world’s leading real estate associations, developers, and speakers – and nearly 1,000 domestic officials, economists, and enterprises, have registered to join the International Real Estate Conference (IREC) 2018 that will take place in Hanoi from September 5-7.

President of the Vietnam National Real Estate Association (VNREAL) Nguyen Tran Nam said in a press conference on August 15 that the event will be jointly hosted by the VNREAL and the US National Association of Realtors.

He said that the conference has become one of the real estate sectors’ biggest international events, offering a chance for associations and enterprises to meet and promote connectivity.

The event is to be held in Vietnam for the first time after being hosted by the Philippines in 2015, the Republic of Korea in 2016, and Thailand in 2017.

According to Nam, IREC 2018 is expected to foster interaction among real estate firms, featuring participation from some of the sector’s giants hoping to inspire some of the smaller companies.

The conference is also a fantastic opportunity for firms to introduce their products and services to potential partners in various countries around the world.

During the three-day event, management officials, experts, and leaders will give ideas on how to deal with the shortcomings of the real estate market in order to promote the potential and healthy growth of the market in a sustainable manner, and thus contributing to socio-economic development in each country.

Within the event’s framework, a conference will be held for heads of international delegations to discuss the strategy of their leaders and promote their influence, along with the Vietbuild exhibition.

During the IREC 2018, participants will discuss issues related to smart cities, new trends in construction and architecture in the world, and the legal framework for Vietnam’s real estate market.

Nam added that the event will issue a message affirming the commitment from realtors to coordinate on a global scale, operate sustainable and environmentally-friendly business, and give more support to low-income communities by paying due attention to developing social housing.
