Vietnam will host two international badminton tournaments this year.
They are the Vietnam Challenge on March 26-31 in Hanoi and the Vietnam Open, a Grand Prix event, from August 27-September 1 in Ho Chi Minh City .
The winner of the Challenge will get 4,000 points towards his or her world ranking. The two runners-up will get 3,400 and 2,800 points, respectively.
In the Vietnam Open, the winner will receive 5,000 points. The second and third-placed athletes will get 4,250 and 3,500 points, respectively.
The high bonus points are the key to attract high-ranking players, organisers said.-VNA
