Vietnam will host the second international conference on the Asia-Pacific Geoparks Network (APGN, scheduled for September this year.
Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem has given the nod to the proposal to host the event by Ha Giang province, which is home to Dong Van Stone Plateau, a member of the Global Network National Geoparks./.
According to the Government Office’s official letter No. 245/VPCP-QHQT, the Deputy PM on Jan. 12 assigned the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to organise the conference in coordination with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) Vietnam and Ha Giang provincial People’s Committee./.
