The year marks the 70th anniversary of the ITI (1948-2018), according to Tobias Biancone, the institute's director general.
Vietnamesewriter, director and producer Le Qui Duong was elected to one of thesixteen seats on the Executive Council at the 34th ITI World Congress inArmenia last November.
He was also elected Vice President of the International Festival Forum, a prestigious project committee.
This was the first time in the 66-year history of ITI that a member from Vietnam was voted into the Executive Council.
ITI is the world's largest organisation for the performing arts. Its centres can be found in more than 80 nations.
Everytwo years the institute organises a World Congress where it decides onits leadership, strategy and national and international projects.-VNA
