The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has confirmed that Vietnam will provide the neutral venue for the AFC Asian playoffs to the 2012 London Games, which are scheduled to be played from March 25 to 31.
This was confirmed after an AFC mission made a fact finding tour to Vietnam from Feb. 8-9 to inspect stadiums, hotels and other associated facilities.
The Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Duong Nghiep Khoi, said that the VFF has pledged to do its best when holding the event and will ensure public safety at all the matches.
The AFC will also work with the VFF to create the best possible conditions for media agencies during their coverage of the event./.
