Egypt, Italy, Lithuania and Spain are the target for upcoming negotiations on visa exemptions under a recent governmental decision.

The Vietnamese Prime Minister has authorised the Foreign Ministry, in coordination with relevant ministries and agencies, to hold negotiations on striking agreements with these countries on the matter.

The draft agreement with Egypt provides for a large range of beneficiaries, from diplomatic passport holders to those carry special and official passports.

The draft agreements with the three others call for a visa exemption for diplomatic passport holders.

Several similar agreements were signed earlier this year, benefiting Croatian diplomatic and official passport holders as well as Swiss diplomatic passport holders.

The Foreign Ministry reported that the country has so far signed 57 accords on visa exemptions with 55 countries, of which 54 have come into force./.
