Vietnam won 13 gold and two silver medals at the 2010 Southeast Asia Judo Championships, which ended in Ho Chi Minh City on Sept. 23, topping the medal tally.
It was followed by Laos with two gold, five silver and five bronze medals.
The tournament drew the participation of 120 athletes, coaches and referees from seven countries, namely Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines and host Vietnam.
The championships offered a good opportunity for regional countries’ athletes to get more experience and be well prepared for the 2010 Asian Games (ASIAD) in Guangzhou, China in November./.
