Vietnam, Ukraine boost judicial cooperation

Prisko made the affirmation at a reception given by National Assembly Deputy Chairman Uong Chu Luu in Hanoi on April 18.

NADeputy Chairman Luu said that both Vietnam and Ukraine have grantedeach other favoured nation status and have plans to develop bilateralties in defence, nuclear energy, industry and agriculture.

He said he hoped the Ukrainian Government would continue supporting Vietnam’s development and international integration efforts.

TheSupreme People’s Procuracy of Vietnam (SPPV), an important agency inVietnam’s criminal justice system and a leading one in the nation’sjudicial reform, should further promote cooperation with the GeneralProcuracy of Ukraine, Luu said.

Prisko said that his delegationagreed with the SPPV, during the talks, on the training of procuratorsat the Ukrainian Procuracy Institute and the exchange of expert andhigh-ranking delegations and law-building expertise.

The twosides reached unanimity in providing judicial mutual assistance infighting international crimes and increasing consultation oninternational forums, he said.

While in Vietnam from April 17-22,the Ukrainian delegation held working sessions with the Hanoi and KhanhHoa provincial Procuracy and toured President Ho Chi Minh’s relicssite, the Temple of Literature and other scenic sites./.

Phu Tho: 200kg bomb safely relocated, detonated

According to a report by the Phu Tho Military Command, local residents spotted the bomb on August 31 in the Da River after the river water receded, exposing it beneath mud and soil on the riverbed. The bomb remained intact, including its fuse, and was located about 300m from a residential area.

Shift to data-driven administrative procedures needs acceleration

Under a draft decree replacing Decree 63, authorities will have to proactively pull information from databases and records for informational or technical procedures.
