The significant progress in the FIFA rankings was attributed to the national squad’s 2-1 victory over strong rivals Qatar in the second qualifying round of the World Cup Asian region at My Dinh stadium.
The Netherlands replaced Spain to top the rankings.
In Southeast Asia, Thailand still kept its first place./.
