Vietnam and Venezuela will carry out joint agriculture and aquaculture cooperation projects in Venezuela ’s western state of Falcon in 2014, as part of agreements signed between the two countries.

According to Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Ngo Tien Dung, the two sides also plan to build an energy-saving light bulb joint venture factory and cooperate in tourism development and housing construction.

He expressed his belief that support from both governments, Venezuela will make the best use of its advantages to bring a better life to the locals.

The ambassador said that both Vietnam and Venezuela are socialist countries with similar natural conditions and the same will, which are foundations for the two nations to reach a number of cooperative agreements on tourism, housing and agriculture, Dung added.

Vietnam sent agricultural engineers to Maurora town of Falcon state in 2009 to study the fish and shrimp breeding climate there.-VNA
