Vietnam wishes to strengthen and expand its relations with CentralAfrica in a practical and effective manner, especially in economic,trade and investment areas.
National AssemblyChairman Nguyen Phu Trong made the statement while receiving JosephKiticki Kouamba, Minister-Diplomatic Advisor to the Presidency of theCentral Africa Republic, in Hanoi on August 18.
He said that Vietnam and Central Africa should strengthencooperation on the basis of their potential and advantages as they aredeveloping countries and members of many international organisations.
In the immediate future, the two sides need to increase the exchangeof high-ranking and ministerial-level delegations, strengthening mutualunderstanding and setting up legal foundations for the bilateralcooperation.
While congratulating the CentralAfrican people on their 50 th National Day (August 13, 1960-2010), theNA leader expressed his belief that the Central African people will seestronger developments in the process of national construction anddevelopment.
Minister Joseph, who is also theCentral African President’s Permanent Representative to theInternational Francophone Organisation, thanked Vietnam for itshosting of the second Vietnam-Africa International Seminar, whichoffered an opportunity to boost information exchanges and cooperationbetween Vietnam and African countries in general and Central Africain particular.
Vietnam is mentioned as anexample of success during the struggle for national independence in thepast as well as the current national construction and development, hesaid.
He expressed his wish that through thevisit, his delegation will study Vietnam ’s successes, especially itsexperiences in building development policies, consolidating nationalunity and mobilising all resources for economic development and disasterprevention./.
