Vietnamese weightlifters won six silver and two bronze medals at the on-going Asian Weightlifting Championships in Thailand.
In the second day of the competition on March 5, Ngo Thi Quyen carried off a silver medal in the clean and jerk with a total lift of 76kg. She, overall, finished third with a total lift of 135kg in the women’s 48kg event.
The day earlier, weightlifter Nguyen Tran An Tuan bagged three silvers in the men's 56kg event , while Ly Quang athlete won 2 other silvers and one bronze.
Vietnam sent six weightlifters, including three women, to the regional event.-VNA
