Tu, the Southeast Asian Games gold medallist, defeated India's Devi Khumujarn Tombi and Alexandra Podryarova from Kazakhstan in the women's 48kg category.
An eight-member Vietnamese squad is taking part in the three-day event, which has attracted 125 men and 87 women from 24 countries and territories in Asia, who are competing in 14 weight categories./.
