Vietnam wins medals at Int’l Physics Olympiad

All five Vietnamese students won medals at the 41 st International Physics Olympiad that took place in Croatia from July 17-25, the Ministry of Education and Training announced on July 25.

Dinh Anh Minh from Hue National School won a gold medal.

Pham Binh Minh from Tran Phu Gifted High School in thenorthern port city of Hai Phong , Pham Van Quyen from Le Hong PhongGifted High School in the northern province of Nam Dinh and Phan VanTrung from Hanoi-Amsterdam Gifted High School took silvermedals.

Nguyen Hoanh Dao from Lam Son Gifted High School in the central province of Thanh Hoa secured a bronze medal./.

Excavation for war remains begins in Quang Ngai

Y Ngoc, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee and head of the provincial Steering Committee for the search, recovery and identification of martyrs’ remains, said the mission aims to conduct definitive excavation and verification to bring home the remains of martyrs from Regiment 24A, the B3 Front, Special Forces Battalion 406, and Infantry Battalion 304, who fell during the 1968 Tet Offensive.
