An exhibition featuring Vietnamese “ao dai” (traditional dress) created by designer Lan Huong in Roma on December 5 wrapped up the “Vietnam Year in Italy” in 2013 to mark the 40th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties.
At the closing ceremony, Vice President of Deputies in the Italian Parliament Marina Sereni reiterated the close friendship between Vietnam and Italy.
For his part, Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Hoang Long thanked the Italian agencies and localities for their assistance and contribution to the success of the year.
During 2013, the Vietnamese Embassy has organised the “Vietnam Culture Week” with a series of activities, including exhibitions, traditional music performances and economic forums, in Italian big cities, leaving a deep impression on the hosts of a beautiful and dynamic Vietnam with friendly people and a long-lasting and rich culture.-VNA
