Vietnam’s Ambassador to Andorra Le Kinh Tai presented his credentials to Andorran Coprince Bishop Joan Enric Vives i Sicilia on March 18.

After the presentation ceremony, Ambassador Tai briefed Coprince Sicilia of his country’s political and socio-economic achievements over the past years as well as the country’s efforts to get over impacts of the global economic and financial crises.

The ambassador underlined Andorra’s impressive gross domestic product, high life expectation and dynamic tourism market.

For his part, Coprince Sicilia praised Vietnam for its achievements and expressed his wish to boost cooperation on numerous areas between the two countries, especially in tourism. He affirmed his coordination with and supports for the Southeast Asian nation at the international forums.

The Vietnamese ambassador conveyed the invitation made by State President Nguyen Minh Triet to invite Coprince Sicilia to visit Vietnam. Andorran Coprince accepted the invitation and pledged to visit the country at a convenient time.

Vietnam and Andorra, one of the smallest countries worldwide located between France and Spain, have established their diplomatic ties sine June, 2007./.
