Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Nguyen Tat Thanh on August 14 presented his credentials to Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej, stating that he will do his best to step up bilateral multi-faceted cooperation.

Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn welcomed the newly-accredited Vietnamese Ambassador and received the document on behalf of the King at the event in Bangkok.

Ambassador Thanh informed the host of Vietnam’s socio-economic situation and foreign policies, affirming that he will pay special attention to speeding up of the completion of an action plan to deploy the Vietnam-Thailand strategic partnership.

The diplomat expressed his hope that with the valuable support from the King and the effective collaboration between the two governments, the bilateral ties will grow more strongly in all fields for peace, stability and cooperation in the region and the world.

Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn relayed to the diplomat a letter from the King, who wrote that he is delighted to see the growing development of bilateral relations since the two countries set up their diplomatic ties in 1976.

The King expressed belief that the relations will be consolidated in all fields, at both bilateral and multilateral levels, especially in the context of an ASEAN Community to be set up in 2015.

He pledged maximum support from him and authorised agencies for Ambassador Thanh during his working tenure.-VNA
