Vietnamese artisans participate in int’l trade fair in India

Tinh, Technical Director of Viet Quang Ltd Co. inHanoi, said he was granted the titles “artisan” in 2009 and “meritoriousartisan” in 2013 by the President. His son Quang was honoured as an“artisan” in 2012 and is currently the youngest artisan in Hanoi in thisfield.

According to Tinh, 60 percent of hiscompany’s products are exported, with the remainder sold on the domesticmarket. Key importers from Japan and China are particularly interestedin the products due to their high quality and beautiful designs.

This is the first time Tinh has attended such an event in India, withthe hope of finding opportunities to export his handicrafts to theworld’s second most populous nation.-VNA

Imports accelerate, powering exports, public revenues

Vietnam, RoK step up cooperation in transport infrastructure

Minh noted that in transport, the RoK is currently Vietnam’s second-largest bilateral donor. Since 1996, the Korean Government has provided significant capital for Vietnam’s transport infrastructure, with nine projects completed to date, totalling over 1 billion USD, and six others underway worth nearly 600 million USD.
