The 23-year-old bride, identified only by her surname of Hoang, was stabbed by her husband early on May 24 in Jeongto district in the northern province of Kyeongsang, according to initial information.
The 37-year-old husband, identified only by his surname Im, has been detained by police and the case is under investigation.
The victim arrived to live with her husband in the RoK in April last year and had a 19-day-old son.
The Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK sent a representative to the site to witness an autopsy on the victim’s body and work with the local authorities to undertake procedures and identify her records and native village.
In July last year, a Vietnamese woman named Thach Thi Hoang Ngoc was killed by her mentally ill Korean husband just a week after she arrived in the country to live with him./.
