Hundreds of Japanese business executives thronged to a ceremony in Tokyo on November 8 to launch the Vietnamese Business Association in Japan (VBAJ).

Addressing the launching ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Doan Xuan Hung expressed hope that VBAJ will make it easier for both nations’ firms to do business across such diverse areas as trade, science-technology, culture and education.

VBAJ President Dinh Ngoc Hai, in his speech, said that the association looks forward to becoming a trustworthy partner of Japanese and Vietnamese enterprises and organizations.

He said he wishes the VBAJ will have more strategic partners to expand operations and contribute to the development of bilateral relations between the two nations.

Former President of the Japan – Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance Tsutomu Takebe said he pins high hope for VBAJ which will work as a bridge linking businesses together. Its debut opens up chances to transfer technology and strengthen ties between the two countries, he added.

Established on September 2, VBAJ groups 32 firms run by Vietnamese or Japanese of Vietnamese descent.-VNA
