Dozens of Vietnamese firms operating in Russia were recently brought together at a conference to look for ways to improve the efficiency of their operations in the host country.

Undeterred by the international economic sanctions imposed against Russia since the Ukrainian crisis and the tightening of regulations on residency in Russia, the Vietnam Business Association (VBA) has strengthened the links between members through sharing information and providing assistance on a day-to-day basis.

In addition to promoting investment, and backing business and bilateral cooperation alike, the association has worked closely with the Vietnamese Embassy to benefit the community in Russia as much as possible.

The association has also donated nearly 25,000 USD to social and charitable projects, and aims to expand its operations in the host country as well as boosting investment back home in Vietnam.-VNA
