Vietnam and Cambodia have discussed measures to strengthen cooperation between the two countries’ inspection agencies.

During recent talks between the Vice General Inspector of the Vietnamese Government Inspectorate Nguyen Van San and the Cambodian Minister of National Assembly-Senate Relations and Inspections, Sam Kim Suor, in Phnom Penh , the two officials discussed the important role of inspections in assisting the government to address corruption and citizens’ complaints.

Minister Sam Kim Suor praised the Vietnamese Government Inspectorate’s cooperation and assistance for their Cambodian counterparts in the past, especially in providing training for its personnel.

She said that she hoped the two agencies would strengthen ties and help the Cambodian government to put in place a complete inspection system from the grassroots to central levels.

During their visit to Cambodia from July 25-29, the Vietnamese delegation was received by Deputy Prime Minister Men Sam On./.
