Vietnamese coaches sail through first training course

More than 20 coaches from five coastal provinces across Vietnam have participated in the first technical sailing course in the central of province of Binh Thuan.
More than 20 coaches from five coastal provinces across Vietnam haveparticipated in the first technical sailing course in the central ofprovince of Binh Thuan.

The Vietnam's Level 1 Technical Course for Coaches in Sailing took place at the MANTA Sailing Training Centre.

The event was the first step in collaborative preparation forinclusion of sailing sports in Vietnam's 2016 Asian Beach Games and 2019Asian Games.

National sailing development wasrecently put on the fast track for Vietnam, with the federation beingset up in 2011 and joined the International Sailing Federation last May.

The course aims to open opportunities for nationaltraining for coaches and athletes at international standards of sailingand safety.

The event presents opportunities forVietnamese businesses to support a fleet of young athletes who train atthe sailing school via company sponsorships.-VNA

Project on digital transformation in cultural sector approved

By 2030, the project targets the establishment of shared digital platforms across 100% of cultural sectors. All digitised cultural heritage will be standardised under the national data framework and shared in accordance with regulations, while 80% of public digital heritage assets are expected to receive digital identifiers to clarify ownership and management, encouraging organisations and individuals to do the same and support market development.
