Seoul (VNA) – Recent political developments in the Republic of Korea (RoK) have not affected the daily life of the Vietnamese community here, the Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK confirmed on December 5.
The embassy said that right after information on these developments emerged, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed the embassy to closely monitor the situation, immediately contact local authorities and Vietnamese associations in the Rok to comprehend the status of Vietnamese nationals living, working and studying in the country.
The embassy has advised the Vietnamese community to comply with local regulations, avoid large gatherings, and maintain contact with the embassy.
So far, the Vietnamese community in the RoK has continued to live, work, and study as usual. The Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK said that it continues to closely monitor the situation and is ready to take necessary measures to protect the citizens.
Earlier on December 4, the RoK’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement to diplomatic missions in Seoul, acknowledging concerns raised by other countries about recent events in the RoK, but assuring that the country’s democratic processes and public order remain intact./.
Embassy urges Vietnamese citizens in RoK to comply with local law
The Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea (RoK) has asked Vietnamese citizens to respect local laws, customs, and especially immigration regulations once entering the East Asian nation to avoid negatively impacting Vietnam’s image and the good relationship between the two countries.
