Attending the ceremonywere the Governor and Provincial Party Secretary for BolikhamxayProvince , Pannoi Mani and the Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Ta MinhChau, along with several other officials from both countries.

When giving his opening address, Governor Mani thanked Vietnam forthe support it has given to Bolikhamxay province over the years and forsetting up the factory, which he described as an excellent example ofthe friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos .

Ambassador Chau said that this essential project by Thanh Hoa GeneralMaterials Company will add to the celebrations for Vietnam-LaosSolidarity Year in 2012, and will be a great help to the province'seconomy, while enabling the local community to improve their standard ofliving.

Built on a 26.78 ha site, the factory has acapacity of producing 100 tonnes of starch per day. Once completed andin operation, in 18 months, the plant will employ over 100 local peopleand benefit the area immensely.-VNA

First “green lane” durian shipment exported to China

​Under the “green lane” process, quality control begins at the cultivation stage, including soil sampling and monitoring, and continues through harvesting and processing, with traceability labels attached to trees and applied to fruit at the time of picking. It also allows plant quarantine procedures and the issuance of certificates of origin (C/O) directly in the localities where the orchards are located.

Vietnam pushes for deeper auto supply chain ties with RoK

Speaking at the opening of the Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2026 in Hanoi on April 10, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong noted that despite challenges in 2025, Vietnam largely fulfilled its socio-economic development goals.
