The Vietnamese Culture Days opened in Busan city in the Republic of Korea (RoK) on Aug. 26.

The two-day festival is co-organised by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK.

Apart from performances featuring Vietnam ’s traditional characters, there will be a seminar on the country’s tourism sector, exhibitions displaying handicrafts and photos on the land and people of Vietnam , and a campaign to vote for the new Seven Wonders of the World .

The festival will close with a special open-air performance staged by Vietnamese and RoK performers on Aug. 27.

Addressing a seminar themed, “Vietnamese Tourism – Promotion and Investment”, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh said the festival is expected to contribute to increasing mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation between the people of Vietnam and the RoK.

Also on Aug. 26, Anh paid a courtesy visit to Busan’s mayor Hur Nam-sik, during which the Vietnamese minister said that the strategic partnership between Vietnam and the RoK has developed fruitfully in all fields, including the culture, sports and tourism sector, with various activities launched in both countries./.
