Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia supports fire victims

Representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia on February 20 visited and presented gifts to 15 Vietnamese and Khmer families in Samaky hamlet, Phnom Penh capital’s Russey Keo district who were affected by a fire on February 15.

Phnom Penh (VNA) – Representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy inCambodia on February 20 visited and presented gifts to 15 Vietnamese and Khmerfamilies in Samaky hamlet, Phnom Penh capital’s Russey Keo district who wereaffected by a fire on February 15.

The fire made threepeople, including two children, suffocated. All of them have been dischargedfrom hospital.

It also destroyedthree out of four classrooms of the Samaky-Tan Tien Primary School, thusaffecting the study of over 100 students.

Minister at theVietnamese Embassy Lai Xuan Chien said that the embassy is seeking aid torepair the school and resume its operation as soon as possible./.
