Hanoi (VNA) – Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC’s defender Le Duc Luong will play for the Ansan Mugunghwa FC of the Republic of Korea following a two-year loan contract, his team managers said.

“I am happy with the deal. K.League is well known as one of the tough tournaments (in Asia) and I hope I can meet the requirement,” Luong said. “I need to prove my ability and adjust in the first 10 days of the test. After getting the contract in my hands, I will think of the future.”

Appreciated for his speed and confidence, Luong has been under observation by Ansan Mugunghwa’s scouts since 2015. The 22-year-old, who used to be a player in Vietnam’s U23 squad, will leave for the RoK on December 7.

Ansan Mugunghwa are the reigning champions of K-League Challenge, the second strongest tournament in the country, behind K-League Classic.

Lương will be the second Vietnamese player competing in South Korea. Previously, his teammate Luong Xuan Truong also moved to play for K-League Classic’s Incheon United.-VNA
