A group of children from the Nam Thanh Cong primary school in Hanoi met with kids from the Langevin primary school in the French city of Choisi-Le-Roi on June 11.

The exchange was an initiative of leaders of the Choisi-Le-Roi city during their visit to Nam Thanh Cong school last October in Hanoi within the framework of the twinning project between Hanoi’s Dong Da district and Choisi-Le-Roi city.

Addressing the event, Jean Joel Lemarchand, municipal First Vice Mayor in charge of communications and external affairs underlined that this activity not only contributes to strengthening friendly cooperation between the two schools and two cities but also the cooperation at regional level between Vietnam and France.

Talking with a Vietnam News Agency correspondent based in Paris, Francoise Juhel, Vice Mayor of the city said that this activity is the continuation of friendly relations between the Vietnamese and French peoples from generations to generations.

She added that these students, along with Vietnamese students living in France would make important contributions to promoting and upholding the two countries’ fine cooperation in the future./.
