Vietnam's Quang Thi Soan was awarded a bronze medal at the 21st Asian Mountain Bike Championships, which closed in Malaysia on August 16.

Soan came in third place during the women's downhill individual event on August 15 with a time of 1min 58.54sec.

Meanwhile, Thai Vipavee Deekaballes received a gold medal after her successful sprint, finishing the 0.96km race at 1:53.61.

Her teammate, Sattayanun Abdulkaree, was second at 1:58.53.

Sheng Shan Chiang of Chinese Taipei took the title, followed by Kazuki Shimizu from Japan and Popo Ario Sejati of Indonesia.

On the men's side, Ha The Long failed to finish among the top three, placing in the 21st position with a time of 1:56.27.-VNA
