The Vietnamese Government will facilitate long-term investment by Philippine businesses into Vietnam and ensure a stable supply of rice to the Philippines, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung affirmed.

PM Dung made the statement at a reception for outgoing Philippine Ambassador Laura Q. Del Rosario who paid him a courtesy visit in Hanoi on Oct. 21.

“The Vietnamese Government wants to join the Philippines in implementing bilateral cooperation agreements in various fields, thus contributing to each country’s development and regional peace and prosperity,” said PM Dung.

The PM took the occasion to propose that both sides sign cooperation agreements on joint sea patrols, fisheries development and trade promotion.

PM Dung highlighted Rosario’s role in actively contributing to two-way cooperation in politics, economics, trade, investment, education and training and other fields.
