Representatives from the Vietnamese communities in 14 European countries were brought together at a seminar in Prague , the Czech Republic , on August 18, to discuss mass mobilisation work.

There are successful Vietnamese businesses in the host European countries which have invested back in the homeland, she said, adding that they accounted for more than half of the total investment by Vietnamese expatriates at home.

Khiet spoke of the Czech government’s recognition of the Vietnamese community as a minority group last year.

She hailed the participants’ ideas of reforming operations of the Mass Mobilisation Commission to further improve the relations between the Party and people.

On the occasion, Khiet presented the third-class Labour Medal to Chairman of the Vietnamese people association in the Czech Repiblic Hoang Dinh Thang in recognition of his active participation in social affairs in the host country, helping locals understand more about Vietnam .

Earlier on August 16-17, Khiet had working sessions with representatives of Overseas Vietnamese in Brno city and South Morava .
