Hanoi (VNA) –
The Vietnamese embassies in Russia and Chile recently held celebrations of the traditional Lunar New Year 2019 with the participation of overseas Vietnamese and international friends.

Addressing a celebration in Moscow on February 3, Vietnamese Ambassador to Vietnam Ngo Duc Manh underlined the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership in 2018, which was reinforced and developed in all fields.

He expressed his belief that the two countries will reap more success in 2019.

Speaking at a ceremony on February 2, Vietnamese Ambassador to Chile Nguyen Ngoc Son highlighted Vietnam’s new development achievements and relations with Chile in 2018.

He sent his New Year greetings to Vietnamese expatriates and Chilean friends and thanked them for their active contributions to the development of the bilateral rapports.

The diplomat noted that the friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Chile was continuously reinforced and developed in 2018 through the enhancement of all-level delegation exchanges and the regular maintenance of bilateral cooperation in politics and trade.

The two sides also established organisations such as the Chile-Vietnam friendship parliamentary association and Chile-Vietnam trade department. -VNA
