Vietnamese in Sri Lanka supports AO victims

The Sri Lanka-Vietnam Friendship Foundation on Feb. 18 handed over gifts from the Vietnamese community in Sri Lanka to victims of Agent Orange (AO).

At his meeting with the Vietnam Associationfor Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin (VAVA) in Hanoi, the foundation’sVice Chairman Dr. R.A Chandrasena said Vietnamese living in Sri Lankaalways think of their fatherland and wish to share difficulties withtheir fellow citizens.

According to the Vice Chairman,the foundation regularly organises activities to garner support for thestruggle for justice for AO victims and raise donations for Vietnamto overcome war consequences.

On behalf of more than threemillion AO victims in Vietnam, VAVA President Senior Lieutenant GeneralNguyen Van Rinh expressed his thanks to the Vietnamese community, theVietnamese Embassy in Sri Lanka and the Sri Lanka-Vietnam FriendshipFoundation for their support. -VNA

Search efforts continue for Vietnamese fallen soldiers in Cambodia

International project on Russian language opens registration

The international project "Russian language in Vietnam: Dialogue between cultures" will take place in person from October 6–16, at educational institutions across Vietnam.
