The agreement, inked on December 15 in the central city of Da Nang, is expected to help bring opportunities for FPT Software to penetrate further into and expand its operation sphere in Japan , which is considered as the most important market in the company’s globalisation strategy.
It will also open many employment opportunities for Vietnamese students studying in the fields of information technology and telecom electronics and Japan studies.
Under the agreement, every year, FPT Software will recruit a great number of employees for joint projects between the two companies. In the period of 2014-2016, the company’s office in Da Nang is expected to employ about 2,000 staffs.
Established in 1988, FPT Software is a division of FPT Corporation, a leading information and communication technology group in Vietnam . Through years of development, FPT Software has become the country’s top supplier of software outsourcing, with almost 5,000 staffs working in Vietnam, Japan, the United States, French, Germany, Singapore and Malaysia.
In 2012, it was listed among the top 100 global service suppliers that compiled by Italia’s Global Services company and the US’s Neo Group. In September this year, the company was one of the top 500 largest software suppliers in the world evaluated by the US ’s Software Magazine.-VNA
